Join us for recreational swimming at the Woolwich Memorial Centre Pool in Elmira. Swimmers will be coached in swim stroke techniques and be challenged in a fun and friendly atmosphere!
Programs
2024/25 Sessions:
Session #1: Oct. 1st to Feb. 20th (18 weeks) – No practices Dec. 16th to Jan. 2nd
Session #2: Feb. 25th to Jul. 10th (19 weeks) – No practices Mar. 11th & 13th
The Woolwich Swim Team practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Woolwich Memorial Centre in Elmira. Swimmers can choose to swim one or both days.
Program Options:
Level 1 Program (4:45-5:30 PM OR 5:45-6:30 PM)
- All new swimmers must register in a 45 minute program
- Swimmers must be able to pass the WMC pool swim test.
- Swimmers are expected to be able to comfortably swim without assistance in the water.
Level 2 Program (4:45-5:45 PM or 5:30-6:30 PM)
- Swimmers will move to the Level 2 program based on coaching assessment and space availability.
Adapted Swim Team Program (6:30PM) *NEW*
- For swimmers with a disability who would benefit from an adapted Swim Team program with fewer swimmers per lane.

Fees for the Adapted Woolwich Swim Team Program are subsidized through a Kitchener Sports Association Legacy Grant. We would like to thank KSA for making this program possible!

Session #2 Fees & Details
General registration for Session #2 will open January 14th, 2025 at 6:30am. Swimmers may register for 1 night or 2 nights per week.
Session Dates: Feb. 25th to Jul. 10th (19 weeks) – No practices Mar. 11th & 13th

Family Discount
A $50 discount on registration will be applied to any family registering 3 or more participants. The discount will be applied automatically to the 3rd participant’s registration fee.

Woolwich Wave Swim Team Session Refund Policy
You are eligible for a full refund, minus a $20 administration fee, two weeks or more before the start of the session. Less than two weeks before the start of the session, you are eligible for a prorated refund, minus a $20 administration fee as follows:
80% refund before the start of the session.
70% refund the first week of the session.
50% refund the second week of the session.
No refunds will be issued after the second week of the session.

Suits & Caps
Team Swim Suits & Caps
A few times per year we custom order Woolwich Wave team swim suits. These are high quality suits with the Woolwich Wave logo. Female suits are $75 and Male suits are $62. We also have swim caps available for $15/cap (one size).
The team suits are Speedo Endurance. Sizing charts are below; however we recommend trying on a suit for best sizing. Prior to ordering suits, we will have try-on suits available. Try-on dates will be provided during the session.

Swim Meets
The Woolwich Swim Team competes in four swim meets each spring/summer with the other SWORSA swim teams from Fergus and Kincardine. The meets are held in May, June and July in Fergus, Kincardine, Elmira and a final meet at a neutral venue (typically Wilmot).
Summer Meet Qualification Rules:
- Swimmers must compete in Meet #1 and/or Meet #2 to qualify for the Semi-Finals
- Swimmers must compete in the Semi-Finals to qualify for the Finals.
- The top 8 swimmers in each event will qualify for the finals.
- Swimmers who are registered with a competitive club and have an active SNC number are not allowed to compete in SWORSA swim meets. Email us for more information.
2025 Fun Meet:
April 13th – Fun Meet: Elmira @ 10am (not part of official SWORSA meets)
- Cost: $10/swimmer
2025 Sworsa Meets:
May 24th – Meet #1: Fergus @ 8am
June 7th – Meet #2: Kincardine @ 8am
June 21st – Semi-Finals: Elmira @ 8am
July 5th – Finals: Wilmot @ 8am
- Cost: $40/swimmer (all 4 meets, swimmers cannot register for individual meets)
- Registration for meets will take place during Spring/Summer Session Registration.

For the summer SWORSA swim meets each swimmer can enter three individual events from the SWORSA event list below. The coaches will work with each swimmer to select their events. Swimmers will also compete in two relay events.
